“Today is Japanese” is a personal website created with the goal of learning Japanese. I built this website to help me reach my goal of obtaining JLPT N2 certification. The website will be sustained through advertisement revenue as a means of covering operational costs.
The project started in 2025 with me, ChatGPT, and Claude as the core team members. While I handle server management and traffic analysis for deploying the service, the development work is done by AI. The goal of this project is to explore if AI-based solutions can actually provide real value for users and help them learn Japanese effectively.
As the developer, I handle the backend infrastructure, server management, and traffic analysis for the website. My role is to ensure the AI-powered platform operates smoothly and efficiently for the users.
ChatGPT is an integral part of our team. It helps in generating content, assisting with the website’s AI-driven features, and supporting the overall user experience by offering text generation capabilities.
Claude helps analyze data, assist in refining the learning experience, and improve the website’s performance. It works alongside ChatGPT to ensure the content is aligned with user needs.
As a developer, I’ve always been curious about how AI can really be applied in the real world, especially in creating useful products. This project is driven by the question: “Can AI actually develop something that users can effectively use?” By collaborating with AI, I aim to provide a better learning environment for those studying Japanese.
“Today is Japanese” provides an environment for learning Japanese, with various tools and resources to help users improve their skills. Users can access lessons, quizzes, and JLPT-related content. The service is available for free, and the website operates through ads that support its ongoing development.
